  1. Sorry, guys, this analysis isnʻt up to par. You ID the correlations but that does not mean causation. You speculation about strong make figures may be right, but there is more data (which may not be available) and more analysis to support. You might want to look at the work on poverty done by the likes of Dr. Walter Williams and Dr. Thomas Sowell.

    • Well established that correlations <> causation, and we even mention such in the article.

      That said, [a] the goal was only to test if this was an important factor to add to the list of variables and [b] we did test for other variables (i.e., single-father households) to spot check some assumptions.

      Going forward, any multivariant analysis should incorporate this among other tested variables.
