Mass Shootings, Private and Public — 4 Comments

  1. I don’t see any definitions for “mass public”. Can you please explain how that differs from the general population? Thanks.

    • Sorry for the confusion. They were specified in the article, but perhaps not plainly enough.

MASS PUBLIC SHOOTING: 4+ killed in public, not including perpetrator(s).

MASS SHOOTING (per this paper): 4+ killed, any location public or private, not including the perpetrator(4), within a 24-hour period.

  2. Always illuminating. It would be hugely useful if Gun Facts could gain a platform that could reach the wider public – Joe Rogan, Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, Wall Street Journal op eds, and so forth.

    • Thank you. Glad we are keeping out standards up.

I do think the media would benefit. But PR is time consuming work, that would detract from research. A good PR person is a couple of grand a month, so not in out budget.
